Production lines for sticky materials
The client
The customer works with very sticky raw materials, which are particularly difficult to handle and manage (for example, modelling dough for educational or creative purposes).
The challenge
Our goal was to propose a system for the handling and cutting of raw extruded material of different lengths.
The solution
We developed a particular system able to take into account the handling and cutting specifications of this type of material. The system reads the speed of the extrusion, which is never constant, and adjusts accordingly that of the conveyor belt to obtain constant cutting lengths and time the pieces. A cleaning system also keeps the conveyor belt free of residues of sticky material.
Results and development
The system designed by SIMEC speeds up and simplifies the complex management operations of materials that are difficult to handle, significantly increasing company productivity.
